Yes! Black Lives Matter to me

Right in my own backyard: Black life is valuable. Black life is lovely. Black life is awesome. Black life needs protected. Black life matters to me. I hear BLM as a call for help from people who are under assault. A call for justice and a call for America to think about how it really feels about its Black people. These past few weeks have been very difficult for me as I realize the scope and depth of unconscious and conscious racism in America—witnessing the pain of shameful hatred as it spreads and extends in too many corners. There is no staying out of this issue. Its right here in my own backyard. Let’s end racism in America.
